Questions people ask
Can the seller bring the car to you?
Yes. Walk ins are welcome, or call ahead with the car and a time that works for the seller. A seller who will not let an independent shop look at the car is telling you something.
Can you tell me what the car will need soon?
Yes. Along with anything it needs now, we tell you what is wearing and likely coming up, so you know what the car will cost to keep and have something real to negotiate with.
Why get a used car inspected before I buy it?
The seller knows the car and you do not. An inspection by someone who is not selling it tells you what it needs now and what is coming, so you can walk away or negotiate before you sign rather than after.
The car has a clean history report. Do I still need an inspection?
Yes. A history report only shows what somebody reported. It says nothing about the tires, the brakes, leaks or the suspension today. After a storm season down here, flood cars get cleaned up and sold too, so it is worth a look from someone with no stake in the sale.
